Marcus Leshock

Marcus Leshock is the host and producer of CLTV's entertainment program "metromix on CLTV." The show covers Chicago's entertainment and lifestyle beat, featuring movies, food, theater, fashion, and more.

Marcus is also "metromix on CLTV's" movie critic, producing his economy-minded segment "The LeShock Value," where he rates the latest films based on their $10 ticket price.

Marcus also reports for CLTV News and is a frequent blogger on CLTV.com. His "American Idol" recaps have received nationwide acclaim, including an Emmy nomination. Since becoming a member of CLTV News in 2005, Marcus has received numerous honors, including two Emmy nominations, and in 2008, he was named CLTV's Employee of the Year. Marcus continues to be CLTV's "go-to-guy" for what's hot and happening in Chicago, as well as critical insight on all things pop culture.

Outside of CLTV, Marcus has appeared on media outlets local and national. He has appeared on WGN Channel 9 and WGN America as both a Chicago entertainment expert and movie critic. He is also a frequent guest on WGN Radio 720 AM. Marcus appears on the Nick Digilio Radio Show to discuss movies, as well as made appearances on Dean Richards' Sunday Morning, and Brian Noonan's overnights. Marcus's Rod Blagojevich movie trailers have been featured on The John Williams Show. He has also appeared in the 5 on 5 section of Chicago's RedEye newspaper.

Outside of Chicago, Marcus has appeared as a contributor to ABC News' music entertainment program "The Mix," interviewing the likes of Lupe Fiasco and Reginwa Spektor at Chicago's Lollapalooza music festival. He also served as Marcus the Movie Guy for the Scotty Wylde Morning Show at 106 KHITS in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A native of Schaumburg, Illinois, Marcus graduated from Schaumburg High School before earning a B.A and M.A. in Communication from Northern Illinois University. While at NIU, Marcus produced and directed a critically acclaimed documentary "Mark Twain and the American Steamboat," about the famed authors days on the Mississippi River. He also worked as an editor for the Northern Star newspaper's entertainment section, and reported for the Northern Television Center.

Outside of television, Marcus also served as a producer and writer for Chicago-based SolidLine Media. Marcus still assists in writing and producing major corporate, promotional, and charitible video projects with the company. Outside of the world of media, Marcus is a happily married man, blessed to spend his life with his best friend in the world. He enjoys golfing and boating on the lake just near their home.
