Associate Engineer
This individual is a point person for CLTV employees and vendors, and must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented. This position assists with technical equipment repairs and installations. This includes, but is not limited to, photography equipment and live trucks. This position assists with engineering projects, and handles repair/maintenance in the Oak Brook studio and at remote locations. This position may be called upon to help fill open Master Control/ENG shifts and perform other work as assigned. This position may be called upon to help fill occasional ENG and Master Control shifts, and perform other work as assigned. The position requires extensive phone and computer use. Lifting of equipment up to 50 lbs is required as part of this job, as is a valid drivers license. Hours may vary.

Photojournalists
CLTV News, Tribune Company's 24-hour cable news station located in a state-of-the-art facility in suburban Chicago, is seeking a talented News Photojournalist. Basic responsibilities include shooting and editing news and feature stories as assigned, including live truck operation; working independently and with reporters in photographing and editing packages; and maintaining quality standards in relation to video and audio levels. Candidates MUST know how to tell a story with pictures and be able to produce a quality product under numerous deadlines. Previous experience in television news photography and a valid driver's license are required. Digital editing experience preferred. News Producer
CLTV News, Tribune Company's 24-hour regional cable news channel, is seeking a talented newscast producer to work in a digital production environment. Responsibilities include script writing, desktop videotape editing, managing multiple rundowns, producing breaking news, contributing story ideas, tracking developments of news coverage, timely communication with talent, directors, editors & production staff, and creating and placing elements for cltv.com and other related websites. Candidates must have at least three years proven experience line producing in broadcast news as a producer or associate producer. Experience using digital technology, ENPS and a bachelor's degree in journalism is preferred. Spanish language skills are desirable. This position requires varying shifts and days per week.

Desk Assistant
CLTV News, Tribune Company's 24-hour regional cable news channel, is seeking a desk assistant to assist in carrying out responsibilities of the news assignment desk. Responsibilities for this position include coordinating and managing crew logistics by relaying information and instructions to field reporters and photographers for news story assignments, monitoring radio scanners for possible stories, making daily beat checks of police and fire departments for possible stories and actively contributing to the editorial process. In addition, the desk assistant will be required to post video and content on cltv.com and other websites, and update the breaking news center blog. This person will also be responsible for answering telephones, researching stories, arranging interviews for reporters and anchor talkbacks, and may occasionally field produce.

This newsroom position requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be self-motivated and eager to learn with the ability to work under tight deadlines. Good interpersonal skills to deal effectively with a variety of internal and external customers. Knowledge of the Chicago area is preferred. Previous assignment desk experience a plus. News Internship Opportunities
CLTV News is seeking interns for newsroom positions. The newsroom internship is rotational in nature. Interns spend time in-house with producers and assignment editors before heading out in the field with reporters and photographers. This is a great opportunity to get broad newsroom exposure in the #3 market. Multiple positions available. Internships are non-paid, must be for course credit and require availability to work evenings and weekends. Past internship experience is preferred and at least a junior standing is required.

Entertainment interns will be exposed to all aspects of production, including writing, producing, reporting and editing while working with Oak Brook Production staff. Entertainment interns will possess excellent writing and communications skills. Experience in broadcast journalism, television or film production is required. Prefer field producing, non-linear editing skills and familiarity of the Chicagoland area entertainment scene.

Interns must be available to work 20+ hours per week in the evenings. Past internship experience preferred and at least a junior standing is required. Prefer field producing, non-linear editing skills and familiarity of Chicagoland.

Interns must be 21 years old and available to work 20+ hours per week. You'll work both days and nights. Past internship experience preferred and at least a junior standing is required.
