If you think this is the best the south suburbs have to offer you need to go to some more places. There are far better options for taste and price on the south side. The salad was bland with horrible dressing. The lasagna was flavorless. The pizza was ok but not great. The Tiramasu was frozen. Not good.
I live in Flordia, but when I visit my family in Chicago, I always go to Louisa's, because I love the food there. Until I saw this video, I never understood why the pizza is so good - the hand crushed tomatos versus pizza sause makes the difference. I love the pizza crust because it's crispy and not soggy like some other highly rated pizzas. I"m dying to tr the lazagna, but I love the pizza so much that it's all I eat. If you love pizza like I love pizza, you'll enjoy Louisa's!
My husband I saw the show last week and decided to check it out last night. The place was packed, which caused us to think we were in store for something great. We ordered a small pizza and lasagna. No beer on tap, so we ordered bottled. The dinner salad was a sad iceberg lettuce with ordinary bread. The lasagne and pizza were fine, but not special. The ingredients were fresh, but not particularly flavorful. The two guys seated next to us told the waitress that they had been talking about ordering chicken parmesan all day. They were repeat customers, but we won't be.
