McClendon homicide investigation
Milton and Ruby McClendon were found shot to death Oct. 19, 2009 in a forest preserve near Calumet City. An autopsy determined that Milton, 78, died of a shot in the head, and Ruby, 76, died of multiple gunshot wounds. Their bodies were discovered by a walker in Wentworth Woods Forest Preserve. Police discovered the couple's 1997 Cadillac Eldorado parked on the Dan Ryan Expressway two days later.
