Tim McGill

Meteorologist Tim McGill is a member of the WGN TV Weather Center team that provides CLTV its 24 hour weather on the 1's.

Tim served as Chief Meteorologist at CLTV and has been with the station since our debut in 1993.

Tim holds the AMS Seal of broadcasting. His work on a CLTV tornado special titled, "Season of Fear", earned him an Emmy.

Before CLTV:

Tim is a Chicago area native originally from Schaumburg. He is a 16-year broadcasting veteran with previous stints at WHSV-TV in Harrisonburg, Virginia and WCTI-TV in New Bern, North Carolina. He also worked briefly for the National Weather Service in Romeoville. Tim received his degree in Meteorology from Northern Illinois University.

Outside CLTV:

Tim's hobbies include fishing and surfing the Web. He also stays busy teaching a weather course at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. He is married with four children.
