Port Orange resident Mary Fowler, 72, talks to her daughter, Shelley Patterson, while having to evacuate her home on Casper Avenue, Monday, July 27, 2009, after it was destroyed by a tornado Friday night, July 24, 2009. The tornado affected dozens of homes in the Laurelwood Estates, Lighthouse Pointe and Brandy Hills neighborhoods of Port Orange. Earlier in the day, Gov. Charlie Crist and state officials toured the area and met with Fowler to offer assistance.
