An exhibit that honors the Illinois servicemembers who have died in Iraq or Afghanistan will be on display today at Soldier Field.
The exhibit is called, "Portrait of a Soldier." It consists of hand-drawn portraits by artist Cameron Shilling, of Mattoon. Each portrait features one of the more than 220 servicemembers who have died since September 11th, 2001. The first portrait was done in August 2004, after Army SPC Charles Neeley was killed in Iraq
The portraits will be hung inside Gate 14.
