Florida Power & Light

FPL or Florida Power & Light Co. is the electric utility subsidiary of FPL Group, with headquarters in Juno Beach, Fla. FPL provides electricity to 4.5 million customers in Florida. FP&L started in 1925 when American Power & Light Company consolidated several of it's properties and named the new company FPL.

Today, the utility owns and operates four nuclear power plants: Turkey Point near Florida City, St. Lucie in Fort Pierce, Seabrook Station in Seabrook, N.H., and Duane Arnold Energy Center near Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
