17. Tod Caviness: Soft Exposure returns, National Poetry Month continues

Coffeeshop poetry readings are a dime a dozen, especially around Orlando these days, but I was sad to see the end of Naomi Butterfield's bi-weekly "Soft Exposure" nights in College Park last year. Looks like spring really is a time of renewal: Soft Exposure returns next week, helmed by their old DJ (and constant arts cheerleader) Frankie Messina. The night promises to be more of a mixed bag of prose, poetry and music, but their tradition of welcoming Kerouac House residents continues. Current resident writer Leslie Parry will be the featured reader at the new Soft Exposure next Wednesday (April 25) at 6 p.m. at Infusion Tea in College Park.
